At Akula Yachts we have set our standards high. We believe one of the most effective ways to demonstrate our commitment to superb performance, is to ensure compliance with all applicable ISO Standards. Currently Akula Yachts delivers on this vision by using our ISO 9001:2008 Quality System and Maritime Security Accreditation via ISO 28000:2007 requirements. By obtaining ISO 28000:2007 accreditation on the 9 January 2014 from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, Citadel Maritime, Akula’s parent company, was one of the first Maritime Security Companies to achieve this in the industry.

  • ISO 9001 is an International Quality Assurance Standard that is widely recognised across the world. It is based on a number of management principles that drive and encourage quality deliverables which has a strong Customer focus, motivates and holds Top Management accountable and ensures Customers can expect a consistent, high quality service, which in return ensure business benefits. Akula Yachts first obtained accreditation to ISO9001:2008 – Quality Management Systems on 14 June 2012 only a year after registering as the directors believed by committing to the Standard early on it would underline our commitment to quality.
  • Akula maintains ISO 28007:2012 – Ships and maritime technology – Guidelines for Private Maritime Security Companies providing privately contracted armed security personnel on board ships. As a security provider Akula Yachts set exceptionally high standards for our Personnel and insist on using only the best legally compliant equipment that are regularly tested and maintained. All Akula Yachts’ Personnel comply to stringent internal Company vetting to ensure we are only sourcing the very best from a talented pool of personnel in our industry who are all highly trained and skilled in all aspects of security provision. Our personnel are exceptionally capable in taking on advisory roles.
  • Currently Akula Yachts is implementing OHSAS 18001 into our operational safety planning. We expect to have completed this by the end of 2014.
